SubSoiling Little Missenden PC
Playsafe Playgrounds carried some Subsoiling works for Little Missenden Parish Council on two of their sports pitches in order to improve drainage at those sites in Little Missenden, Buckinghamshire.
The Project involved deep fracturing of sub soil to restore the soil pore space and create vertical channels within the sub-grade profile to allow surface drainage and air access. Undertaken with tractor mounted twin leg subsoiler ( vertical disc cutting slot in turf, sub soil lifter leg with turf roller ) the sub soil is fractured with a minimal lifting action. Sub soil slots to be set at 600mm intervals maintaining a minimum depth of 350mm to ensure sub soil ‘pan’ is fractured.
On completion the turf was further rolled to achieve an even surface finish
